Search the browser for The Cult - Coming Soon - Islecult.com. Before you play, link your accounts and set up proximity voice — both are required here.

Setup

  1. 01

    Switch to the EVRIMA branch

    The Cult runs on the evrima public branch.

  2. 02

    Link Discord and Steam

    Sign in at islecult.com/account with Discord, then link Steam. Steam is what ties your in-game dinosaur to your vault, your balance and your Auction House listings, so this has to be done before you play.

  3. 03

    Install The Cult Voice, then Mumble

    Install the plugin first, then Mumble. If Mumble was already running, close it fully — tray icon included — before reopening. Enable The Cult Voice under Configure → Settings → Plugins, and disable any other Isle proximity plugin: only ours should be touching incoming audio.

  4. 04

    Connect to voice and approve the link

    Add mumble.islecult.com on port 64738, no password, and connect. The plugin opens islecult.com/account/voice — check the short code matches the one in Mumble's log pane, then click Link proximity voice. It is tied to your Mumble certificate, not your name.

    Join the server

    Search the browser for The Cult - Coming Soon - Islecult.com.

When you are done, /account should show Discord, Steam and one Mumble identity. You never repeat any of this.

    Map and status HUD. F1 toggles it, Shift+F1 switches between pass-through and interactive. Pairs itself on first launch.

Linux: the overlay needs an X11 session. Stuck? Ask in the Discord.

If something does not work

The Cult Voice is missing from the plugin list
Close Mumble completely, tray icon included, reinstall the plugin, then reopen Mumble.
No approval page opens
Check the plugin is enabled. If /account already shows one Mumble identity, that certificate is linked and needs nothing further. On Linux, install curl and xdg-utils.
The approval expired
They last five minutes and work once. Reconnect Mumble or restart the plugin for a fresh one.
No proximity audio
Confirm Mumble is connected, the plugin is enabled and linked, you are in game on the linked Steam account, and another linked player is genuinely nearby. Zero speakers while alone is normal — the bridge fails silent rather than turning into global voice.
Mumble shows a certificate warning
Do not accept it. Cancel and tell staff.

Nobody, staff included, will ever ask you for a password, a device token or an approval link.
